Glen R. Dickerson, AIA, founded Heights
Venture Architects in 1979 in the basement of his Houston Heights
home. Drawing from years of experience in the investment-building
industry, he committed to
his vision of providing clients with responsible,
innovative, top-quality architectural services.
Glen began as an architect, and later was named President of Hale-Mills
Realty, where he managed the projects of more than eighteen shopping
centers. He developed his expertise by conducting demographic studies,
land purchases, lease agreements, design and construction, and operations
and maintenance.
Heights Venture Architects quickly established
itself as a commercial-retail and grocery industry specialist, steadily
expanding its staff and services. Successfully integrating the talents
and experience of others, Glen laid the foundation of teamwork from
which we still build. Upon his retirement, the firm evolved into
a Limited Liability Partnership. On January 1, 1999, the company
began operating as Heights Venture Architects, L.L.P., a full-service
architectural, interior design, store planning and graphic design
firm. Operating as five studios led by specialized Directors and
Project Managers, team members are assigned roles compatible with
their distinctive strengths and talents. We recognize, as Glen did,
that only with all elements working together can optimal service
exist.
Heights Venture Architects, L.L.P.'s
portfolio represents a broad spectrum of successful projects including
commercial retail centers, food-store projects, restaurant designs,
office buildings, warehouse complexes and upscale residences. The
firm's success, best illustrated by our repeat client base, reflects
our commitment to quality design, client responsiveness, attention
to detail, and suitability of construction methodology.
In 1993, the firm added an office in
Dallas to expand our services throughout Texas and
the nation. Our purpose is to help our clients become successful
in their endeavors and contribute to their sustained profitability
with the spaces we create for them. By integrating architecture,
graphic design and interior design, we are able to help our clients
fully realize their unique vision. By continuing to incorporate the
newest philosophies, materials and technologies, including a sustainable
approach to design, we steadfastly venture to achieve new heights. |
